Abstract
The elderly population in general decreased due to the natural process of aging process with the decrease of physical, psychological, and social condition interacting. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis in elderly throughout the world has reached 355 million people, meaning that 1 in 6 elderly people in this world suffer rheumatism. Based on preliminary study, the highest number of 10 diseases in Ponorogo Regency in 2016 was rheumatic disease (16,76%), followed by hypertension (14,96%), ISPA (13,15%), Maag (12,17% ), Allergies (10.73%) and the last is the eye (3.38%). This study aims to determine the description of the characteristics of respondents, history of accompanying diseases and types of rheumatic diseases in the Elderly in the Working Area Puskesmas Bungkal District Ponorogo. This research was conducted at District Health Center of Bungkal Sub-district of Ponorogo Regency and this research will be conducted on October 2017. Population used in this research is all elderly who suffer rheumatic disease in Work Area of Puskesmas Bungkal Sub-district of Ponorogo Regency as many as 180 people. The results of the calculation showed that the number of samples of the study was 65 people taking it by simple random sampling method. Data collection using questionnaire, while data analysis using Chi Square. Based on the results of the research, it is known that rheumatic disease type in rural elderly patients in the work area of Puskesmas Bungkal Sub-district of Ponorogo Regency is known that most suffer rheumatic with Rheumatoid Arthritis type (41,5%)
