Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors causing the crime of abuse against minors and to know law enforcement efforts in overcoming the crime of abuse against minors. The method of research through criminological-sociological approach is to examine and discuss the events obtained in accordance with the facts that occurred then associated with the applicable legal norms and existing theories. The type of research is descriptive with data source consists of primary data that is interview and secondary data that is source of primary, secondary and tertiary law. Methods of data collection by interview and literature study, then the data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the factors causing the crime of abuses against minors include low educational and economic fakrot, environmental factors and shelter, alcoholism, technological factors, victim role factors and psychological factors that tend to pedophilia behavior. Law enforcement efforts in overcoming these crimes by pre-emptive action, preventive action and repressive actions.
