Abstract

Background: Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) says that Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) disease is the first cause of death in the world. CHD also became the number one killer disease in Indonesia. Srivastava's study, quality of life in patients with low CHD. Improving the quality of life and improving the quality of life is the ultimate goal of CHD and spiritual intelligence interventions can make a person more able to interpret the life and have a positive meaning in each event, so as to improve the quality of life. Some studies say that patients with CHD have poor spiritual intelligence. Goal : The objective of this study was to determine whether there is a correlation between spiritual intelligence with the quality of life of patients have Coronary Heart Disease at Polyclinic Hospital of Dokter Moewardi Surakarta. Metode : This research used descriptive correlative by using cross sectional approach. The instrument of this study used a questionnaire adopted from the SISRI 24 spiritual intelligence questionnaire and a cardiovascular quality questionnaire MacNew QLMI. Result : Result: The result of calculation of Chi-Square test relation of spiritual intelligence with quality of life obtained by significance value p-value = 0,007 (p <0,05), so that conclusion there is relation between spiritual intelligence with quality of life of patient of coronary heart disease at RSUD Dr. Moewardi. Conclussion :The conclusion of this study is spiritual intelligence of CHD patients is low, quality of life in patients with CHD is low. So there is a relationship between spiritual intelligence with the quality of life of CHD patients in Polyclinic Hospital of Dokter Moewardi Surakarta.
