Abstract

Background : Bullying is an aggressive act of disadvantage aimed at others who are weaker. Most of the bullying is done by school. Therefore, health education through audio visual can improve student perspective in bullying treatment. Objective : This study aims to determine the effect of audiovisual health education on the level of knowledge and subjective norms of teenagers about bullying. Methods : This research is quantitative research. The type of research used in this study is quasi experiment with pretest-postest control group design design. The population in this study are students of Muhammadiyah 2 Junior High School of Surakarta 192 students and Muhammadiyah 10 Junior High School of Surakarta 78 students. Sampling in this research using Simple random sampling method. Results: Data analysis using paired t-test obtained data (p = 0,000 <0,05) and independent t-test result of data p = 0,002 <0,05 previously tested homogeneity and kolmogorov smirnow normality test. Conclusions : The result of the research shows that audiovisual health education influences the students' knowledge of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Surakarta about bullying and health education through audiovisual have a significant influence on subjective norm of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Surakarta students.
