Abstract

Labor is a very important event in a woman's life. Primipara is the first mother to give birth and has no experience in childbirth so that her anxiety level is relatively higher compared to mother who had given birth. Mentoring is accompaniment behavior, directly involved as a guide in labor, where the most important is the provision of support. The purpose of this study is to mengatahui first experience of the mother gave birth normally accompanied by a husband who covers alalan want accompanied husband during the process of birth and mother's psychological experience during the process of accompanied by her husband. The type of this research is qualitative research, the method used in this research is the method of data collection technique phenomenology done by in-depth interview, observation and voice recorder. The number of participants in this study as many as 8 participants who were accompanied by the husband during childbirth. The result of the research is the reason the mother wants to be accompanied by the husband during the process of birth is the desire accompanied by the husband, calming, encouraging, knowing the process of childbirth. The psychological experience of the mother when accompanied by the husband during labor is comfortable, happy, undiscoverable, anxiously reduced and proud.
