Abstract

The low number of elderly visits at Bulu Community Health Center is 20 % of the total elderly in Kecamatan Bulu. Such a small amount of elderly people who participated in Posyandu activities caused by several things, such as lack of awareness of elderly and lack of knowledge and motivation of elderly Posyandu cadres in delivering Posyandu program. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and motivation with the liveliness of elderly Posyandu cadres in the working area of Bulu Community Health Center, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The population of studyis all elderly Posyandu cadres as many as 341 elderly Posyandu cadres in the working area of Community Health Center Bulu Kabupaten Sukoharjo, meanwhile the research sample was 159 cadres with proportional random sampling technique. The data collectionis using questionnaire and data analysis technique is using Chi Square test. The result of the research shows that the result of Chi Square test of the relationship of knowledge with Cadre’s liveliness obtained X2 value by8,818 (p value = 0,003) so that H0 is rejected, and the result of chi square test of motivation relationship with cadre’s liveliness obtained X2 value equal to 7,475 (p value = 0,006) rejected. The conclusion of the research is there a correlation between knowledge and motivation on the activity of elderly Posyandu cadres in the working area of Bulu Community Health Center Kabupaten Sukoharjo.
