Abstract

Problems that occurred in the city of Surakarta is the increasing number of cases of drug abuse among adolescents, this is a warning against Police Surakarta to make efforts to overcome the problem. The purpose of this study is to analyze the efforts made by Police Surakarta in overcoming drug abuse among adolescents and obstacles experienced. Efforts that have been made in the form of preventive and repressive efforts. Obstacles experienced by the Police are the limited human resources, infrastructure and communication breakdown. These obstacles can be overcome by the utilization of existing facilities can still be implemented in accordance with the duties and authorities Police Surakarta with always active in conveying shortcomings to the superiors that is, the lack of human resources and infrastructure. Increase socialization in the community in the form of delivery of information about the danger of drugs, in order to occur awareness in society.
