Abstract
Population growth is directly proportional to the need for shelter. The residence is not just for shelter but a decent shelter and in accordance with the law or other regulations. Limited land becomes an obstacle related to the needs of land adequacy. Sukoharjo District Government as a representation of the state, is obliged to provide for the needs of the people in the region. This research was conducted in Kecamatan Mojolaban, Sukoharjo District. The purpose of this research is to know the portrait of harmonization between land with occupancy and the percentage of acceleration of land conversion or conversion of agricultural land into residential area and housing using descriptive sociological method, using primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting purposive sampling data with questionnaires, interviews, and document studies was analyzed quantitatively. The results showed that harmonization portrait of land with occupancy in Kecamatan Mojolaban was harmonized and the percentage of acceleration of land conversion in Kecamatan Mojolaban based on three sample villages, 11.58% per year in urban area, middle villages 4.58% per year, and villages 0.67% per year. So, the estimated land will be diverse.Suggestions that can be given should the government restrict land conversion so that the land is not exhausted and the government should invite citizen participation in monitoring land conversion.
