Abstract

Daryana. Q100140011. THE MANAGEMENT OF MATHEMATIC LEARNING WITH CASE STUDY IN THE 10TH GRADERS OF SMK NEGERI 6 SURAKARTA IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis. Postgraduate Program of Surakarta Muhammadiyah University. 2017. The purpose of this study is to describe about rule the planning, the implementation, and the evaluation of mathematic learning in the 10th graders of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. This research employed a qualitative approach with case study design taking place in SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. The informant of research included headmaster, mathematic teacher for the 10th Grade and the 10th graders. Data source derived from headmaster, mathematic teacher for the 10th grade, the 10th Accounting graders and curriculum document. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model. The result of research was as follows: 1) learning plan paid great attention to learning aspects including effective learning management and class management. Learning implementation plan referred to the 2013 curriculum containing, among others: basic material and time allocation, learning objective, learning method/model, learning procedure and learning outcome assessment; 2) learning implementation always began with the habituation of student character creation, among others, by means of praying and singing national anthem Indonesia Raya when in the first-hour learning and motivation and conveying learning objective. Teachers told the students to conduct group discussion and to represent the result of discussion in front of class. In the end of learning, students were told to draw a conclusion and to work on independent assignment; 3) the assessment on the learning in the 10th grade referred to Republic of Indonesia Education and Culture Minister’s Regulation Number 53 of 2015. The aspects assessed included knowledge (cognitive), skill (psychomotor) and attitude (affective) aspects for certain students. The assessment on knowledge was conducted using written test, oral test, and assignment. The result of knowledge assessment showed the material mastery level, skill assessment was obtained from the students’ work in the form of project and activity, while attitude assessment was conducted using journal. Teacher used authentic assessment in assessing all students’ activities in learning process. Keywords: management, learning, mathematics
