Abstract

This study was conducted to test the effect of Liquidity, Solvency, Activity, and Company Size on Profitability to companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The population used in this study is food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The sampling method that used in this study is purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 14 companies that have met the criteria. The data used are secondary data obtained from Annual Report of food and beverage companies during the years 2012-2016. Data analysis with multiple regression analysis. The results of study shows that simultaneously variable Liquidity, Solvency, Activity, and Company Size effect on Profitability. Partially independent variables that have significant effect on Profitability are Liquidity, Activity, Company Size. Meanwhile the Solvency variable has no effect on Profitability. Adjusted R-Squared value of 28.8% indicates that the Profitability variable can be explained by the variable Liquidity, Solvency, Activity, and Company Size of 28.8%, while the rest of 71.2% is explained by other variables outside the research model
