Abstract

Introduction: Toddler is asset for the future, of the nation. The nutritional problem of the toddler is stunting, z-score which is the is -2SD below the median length or height. Factors that affect the incidence of stunting is one the level of energy and protein consumption and application of kadarzi behavior in the family. Prevalence of stunting toodler in Nyemoh Village Bringin, Semarang regency 2015 was 14% and 18,75% rate. Objective: to determine the relathionship between energy and protein consumption and kadarzi behavior with stunting at Nyemoh Village Bringin, Semarang. Methods: This study used cross-sectional observation method, with the number of respondents were 47 mother and children under five years selected with random sampling. The data of energy and protein consumption with were collected with semi-quantitative FFQ, data of kadarzi behaviour obtained by questionary and data of stunting were collected measure lengt / height. Data analysis using chi square. Result: The results show that most of the energy and protein consumption levels were less, which were 53,2% and 57,4%, respectively and respondent the were not apply kadarzi were 53,2%. There were 46,8% of under –five children were stunting. The result of bivariate analysis with Chi Square test shows that there was correlation between energy consumption level and stunting incidence of children under five (p:0,012), there was correlation of protein consumption level with stunting incidence of children under five (p:0,011) and there was correlation of kadarzi behavior with stunting event of children under five (p:0,000). Conclusion: There was relationship between energy and protein consumption toodlers and kadarzi behavior with stunting at Nyemoh Village Bringin , Semarang.
