Abstract

Teaching materials are collections of learning materials used in the learning process in order to achieve a predetermined standard of competence. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of instructional materials of disaster learning guidebook of Klaten Regency on earthquake disaster by using Snowball Throwing strategy in SMK Negeri 1 Klaten. This research includes the type of quantitative research with experimental method using the design of One Group Pre test Post test Design. This research uses experimental research type. This research was conducted in experiment 1 with 26 students and experiment 2 class with 27 students in learning process process using Disaster teaching materials through Snowaball Throwing strategy. The results obtained are the level of effectiveness of teaching materials Disaster on materials Earthquake Disaster through Snowball Throwing strategy seen from the average value of effective post test. This level of effectiveness is aimed at the students of Extracurricular School of Disaster Preparedness on the average of post test of experimental class 1 (Extracurricular School of Disaster Preparedness) 13.80 and the average post test class experiment 2 (X Financial Accounting) 12,23. This study also uses Wilxocon and MannWhitney test obtained the probability value is 0,000, so there is significant influence and difference between experiment class 1 and experiment 2 class so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.
