Abstract

Along with the growth of technology, agricultural system also growing, one of them is hydroponic farming system. The hydroponic farming system makes it possible to grow plants and vegetables without depending on the season and area of land because it does not require large areas of land. In its application, it is necessary to pay attention to some important things that affect the growth of plants such as planting media, water pH, nutrient quantity and lighting. To obtain maximum results, it should be checked regularly and thoroughly. It takes time and energy, so not everyone can do it especially for someone who has to work outside the house every day. To overcome these problems, a prototype of automatic maintenance system on hydroponic farm using aeroponic methods was built. Some sensors are used to measure and observe the pH of water, nutrient feeding and time of plant lighting. Plant lighting is replaced by artificial lighting using grow light. By using some pumps, water pH and nutrients can be controlled. The pump acts as a vacuum for pH-raising fluid and pH-lowering fluid to control the pH, as well as a vacuum for nutrient fluid that is routed into a water reservoir.Lighting control is done by setting the clock on the RTC (Real-Time Clock) where the grow light will on and off.
