Abstract

In this research will be tested to obtain the flexural strength and shear strength of concrete beams using square models stirrup and cross-linked frame models with dimensions of 150/250. By performing the analytical calculations from the laboratory test and calculating the moment and shear of the design, it was found that the concrete beam using square models stirrup with dimensions of 150/250 has a 9% greater effectiveness against the design moment of 10.206 kN-m or 11.190 kN-m and concrete beams using a cross-linked frame models have an 18% greater effectiveness over the design moment or 12,118 kN-m, so that the use of a cross-linked frame models in the field is more effective. Then the concrete beam using square models stirrup has 17% greater effectiveness against the shear design on 50.796 kN or 59.696 kN and concrete beams that use a cross-linked frame models have a 10% greater effectiveness against the shear design or 56,067 kN, so that the use of square models stirrup on the pedestal area is more effective. To obtain the flexural strength and effective shear strength of the beam, it is advisable to do a combination of stirrups which are on the pedestal using a square models and at the center of the span using a stirrup of cross-linked frame models.
