Abstract

Fish cultivation has become a livelihood of most people in Indonesia. In general, Indonesian people careless about feeding and water circulation schedule. Therefore required automation for fish cultivation, that in this discussion is fish ponds. This automation system using Arduino microcontroller to drive the servo motor as a tap opener and fish feed container tap opener, infrared sensor as an obstacle detector used to detect there are feed on the container or not, and relay as an electrical switch for faucet that stream the fresh water to the pond. When the water in the pool is dirty, then it automatic activate the relay so the water pump is on and the tap also will open to drain the dirty water. While for feed, given LED as indicator that will light up if sensor detect no obstacle in the form of feed. It indicates that feeds must be refilled. This test is done for 3 weeks straight to maximize of collecting data. On every week, applied different time for opening the faucet. On first week, it takes 1 minute to drain the water until it become clear. six minutes for the second week, and 8 minutes for the third. The more turbid the water, it takes longer time to drain, because the water become dirtles in week 53. For the feed, it has been done twice a day, on the morning and afternoon. Data collection was done in a week to monitor how often the feed need to be refilled after the sensor detect that feed are run out. It is twice in a week for LED to light up that indicate feed runs out, there are on day 3 and 6, it also can be defined that feed must be filled in every three days.
