Abstract

Design rainfall analysis using data series determination method that is annual series and partial series method will greatly affect the value of rainfall depth value in a return period. The availability of data on PSDA of East Java especially in Bengawan Solo River Basin Watershed in Madiun Regency East Java is complete, therefore it can be done by design rainfall analysis with determination of data series. In the determination of the data series is very take effect on the results of rainfall analysis design that will affect the amount of error or deviation of rainfall draft from the method of annual series and partial series. The calculation of rainfall frequency analysis can be used of Aprob_4.1 computer program, this computer program is only used for calculation of frequency analysis which will result in the determination of the distribution used and a return period of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 years. For the partial series method, 5 variations of the lower limit decrease were 0.247% (15 data), 0.329% (18 data), 0.383% (21 data), 0.438% (24 data) and 0.493% (24 data). The result of the calculation shows the value into the annual series rainfall is greater than the partial series with the lower limit of 0.247% (15 data), but the lower limit partial 0.247% (15 data) is still believed to be the most effective calculation, (standard deviation) annual series is larger because annual series data is more different. The smaller the lower limit then the design rainfall with a return period time of the year is getting smaller.
