Abstract

This study aims to determine the enhancement of problem solving skills and creativity of learning mathematics by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning methods in the students of class X SMKN 1 Wonosegoro, Boyolali class year 2016/2017. This type of research is PTK (Penelkitian Action Class) consisting of two cycles, where cycle I and cycle II each consist of two meeting Subject of recipient of action is student of class X SMKN 1 Wonosegoro which amounted to 34 and subject of actors is teacher of kellas math XB SMKN 1 Wonosegoro. Methods of data collection is done through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data ananlisis technique is done by descriptive qualitative with flow model that is process of data analysis, data presentation, and data verification. The result of research shows improvement of problem solving and creativity of students in learning matematika.Hal is reflected from some indicators as follows: 1) Students are able to understand a (20.6%) and end of action (70.6%), 2) Students able to plan solutions (20.6%) and end of action (58.9%), 3) Students are able to properly perform problem solving (14.7% ) and the end of the action (47.1%), 4) The student is able to perform the correct problem solving results of (5.9%) and the end (50%); 5) the student is able to convey ideas, ideas and questions to the solution of the problem of (8.8 %) and the end of the action (47.1%), 6) the students were able to solve the problem with many alternatives (5.9%) and the end of the action (50%), 7) the brave students found new solutions for various problems (2.9%) and end of action (47,1%) From the result of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning strategy can improve the problem solving ability and creativity of learning mathematics in the students of class X SMKN 1 Wonosegoro, Boyolali.
