Abstract

Identification and mapping of landslide potential level can know and observe the potential of landslide in an area that can give description of existing area condition based on trigger factors. The purpose of this research is to mapping the extent of potential landslide in the research area and to analyze the dominant factor triggering the occurrence of landslide in the research area. Parameters used in landslide potential mapping are soil type, slope, geology, rainfall intensity and land use. The mapping of Slogohimo sub district potential is done by using survey method with unit of land as its unit of analysis. Geographic Information System (GIS) is used to provide information on the spread and percentage of potential landslide hazards in the study area. The method used in sample determination is stratified sampling. The low landslide potential level has an area of 22.91 ha or 0.3% of the total research area contained in the V5IVMCP and V5IIIMCP Land Units. The moderate landslide potential level has an area of 5,085.77 ha or 69.5% of the research area located in all land units in the study area and dominates on V2VACLH, V2VMCKB, V4IIIMCK, V4IIIMCKP, V4IIMCKP, V4IIMCKS, V4IIMCP, V4IIMCS, V4IVMCKB, V4IVMCKP, V5IIIMCP and V5IVMCP. The high landslide potential rate has an area of 2,214.51 ha or 30.2% of the area of research located on V2VACLB, V4IIIMCKS, V6IVLS and V6VLB land units. Based on the result data from the merger of five parameters it is found that the dominant trigger factor that dominates and has the greatest role to the landslide potential level in Slogohimo Sub-district is land use and geology.
