Abstract

In 2012, more than one billion people in the world play online games and the prevalence of online game disorder is 50% in Korean teenagers. Online game addiction is a serious issue in China, Korea and Taiwan. This research aims to analyzing the influence chronotypes and social jetlag against online game addiction stress levels in students of the Faculty of Communication and Information Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Research conducted by analytic observational with cross sectional approach. Population in this research is student of Faculty of Communication and Informatics University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Techniques in the sampling technique by Simple Random Sampling. Logistic regression test data obtained that significance chronotypes 0,008 and social jetlag significance equal to 0,032, both numbers below 0,05 show both numbers indicate that there is significant relation between chronotypes and jetlag social with stress. There is a relationship between cronotype and social jetlag with the level of online game addiction stress on students with moderate addiction level.
