Abstract

The behavior of sexual deviations such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender or LGBT according to some sources indicate an increasing trend. In Islam, homosexual behavior and sexual activity have been very clearly stated in the Qur'an is a transcendent act. LGBT person, can turn sexual orientation into a heterosexual and possibly high enough, it's just that the process will be difficult and last long enough because there are various obstacles to change sexual orientation into heterosexual. This study aims to determine whether LGBT actors have any intention, effort, and constraints that accompany to switch to heterosexual in Yayasan Gaya Mahardhika Surakarta. This research is a qualitative type research using descriptive narrative research design and using In Depth Interviews to get research data. Respondents in this study included four (4) LGBT with non-reactive HIV and two (2) LGBT with HIV reactive. The author uses Content Analysis techniques that include: 1) data reduction; 2) presentation of data; and 3) makea conclusions to analyze the research findings. The study findings show that there are 16 factors that become obstacles for LGBT to switch into heterosexual. From the basis of this study, LGBT obstacles to switch into heterosexuals divided into two categories: internal constraints and external constraints, consisting of ten internal constraints and six external constraints.
