Abstract

This study aims to 1) to review the application of informed consent to medical services in hospitals, 2) to obtain review of legal protection for recipients and providers of medical action related to informed consent. This type of research is a qualitative non-doctrinal research. Informants in this study are patients or families and doctors who perform surgery. Techniques of collecting interview data, observation and literature study. Data analysis technique using qualitative analysis method. The results of this study indicate: 1) Regional General Hospital dr. Soeratno Gemolong has implemented operational procedures with Informed Consent, this is in accordance with Article 3 paragraph 1 Permenkes RI number 290 in 2008. 2) agreements contained in the agreement Informed Consent shows the existence of consumer rights protection and liability for doctors who perform surgery surgery
