Abstract

The concept of learning according to Islamic view is the process of seeking knowledge by optimizing the potential (fitrah) manifested in deeds for the formation of human kamil. In addition, Islam is very concerned about the spiritual aspects in the learning process. While the concept of learning according to the Western view is a relatively sedentary behavior change that occurs as a result of experience or behavior done consciously, without involving the spiritual aspect in it. The problem of educating is the problem of everyone, because everyone from long ago till now, certainly tries to educate his children and / or other children who are handed over to him to be educated. Similarly, the problem of "learning", which can be said as an act of educational business, is everyone's problem. The problems of this research are: (1) How is the concept of learning according to the thinking of Ibn Khaldun and Jean Piaget; (2) How is the application of learning concept of Ibn Khaldun and Jean Piaget in PAI learning. The purpose of this study is to: (1) Describe the concept of learning according to the thought of Ibn Khaldun and Jean Piaget; (2) Describe the application of learning concepts of Ibn Khaldun and Jean Piaget in PAI learning. This type of research is library research (library research) with qualitative descriptive approach. The primary data sources in this study were Muqaddimah Ibn Khaldun and The Contruction of Reality in the Child Jean Piaget, and secondary data sources of books or research related to this study. Data collection technique used is documentation method. Data analysis method used is content analysis. The results of the study found that the concept of learning and its application in learning PAI according to Ibn Khaldun include: First, the goal of Islamic education to be achieved is to mature the students' thinking to be active and working. Second, the learning model used is guidance and habituation, because the model is expected to overcome all forms of life difficulties experienced on the basis of faith and taqwa to Allah SWT. by each student, while according to Jean Piget include: First, the goal of Western education to be achieved is to develop students' ability to become independent thinkers. Second, the learning model used is skeptical, rational-empirical, dichotomic, positiveobjectivist, and spiritual dimension models.
