Abstract

Television program can be used to create image. The television program can be packed as well as possible in order that expected public opinion is cretaed naturally in the society. One broadcasting having potential to create positive image is Customs Protection. The broadcasting may influence public that custom institution is free from bribery so that it can create positive image for the society. On the other word, it is called creating positive image. It is a quantitative study. The data collection technique used is questionairre. The respondents of the study are the students of Communication Science Program of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, who have taken branding subject. They become sample of the study, who consist of 105 students. The data are analyzed using regression analysis, t-test, F-test and Determination Coeficient. The result of the study shows that the broadcasting of custom protection has positive corelation to the image of customs institution. It, therefore, needs greater attention in creating and presenting the broadcastiong of Custom Protection through frequency and the broadcasting duration as well as the true content message to build an institution image of custom board.
