Abstract

Boarding system is applied by MAN 1 Surakarta for religious program in order to conduct moral formation of learners. The purpose of this moral formation is the realization of an inner attitude that is able to encourage spontaneously to realize all the actions of good value so as to achieve perfection and obtain true and perfect happiness. In order to conduct research, formed the problem formulation, it is, how the application of the formation of morals in the dormitory MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta. This study aims to determine the application of moral formation in the dormitory MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta, from boarding optimization, morality formation method and covered moral subject that formed in boarding school of MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta. The type of research conducted is field research. Interviews, observation and documentation were used for data collection methods. And the authors conducted a qualitative descriptive analysis in analyzing the data. Some conclusions from this research include: the optimal role of dormitories indicated by the complete facilities, the life of the dormitory that forms the totality of education, the direct involvement of mentors and learners, and the independence education for learners. And the applied method is: hiwar method, proverbs, exemplary and habituation. As well as applying lisān al ḥāl and da'wah bi al ḥāl. And the covered moral subjects that applied in the boarding school of MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta is: morals against God, morals against the Prophet, personal morals, morals in family and morals in society.
