Abstract

Infrastructure and economic growth gave substantial impact on energy demand. In 2025, energy demand of Indonesia is forecasted to increase 8.4% per year (ESDM, 2016). Most of power plant in Indonesia do not use renewable energy or fossil-fuel, such as petroleum, natural gas and coal. Indonesia has a lot of renewable energy, one of which is hydroelectric power. Kedungombo Reservoir on Rambat Village, Geyer Sub-district, Grobogan District which is between Boyolali and Sragen District. The reservoir is multi-purpose reservoir, irrigation, hydropower, and drinking water. The research will do optimization of hydropower in Kedungombo Reservoir by Non-linear Programming. Formulas is completed with solver in Microsoft excel, make use of reservoir capacity and inflow. The result showed that the hydropower currently generate 1.253.410,40 kW. The hydropower generates 1.514.572,63 kW after optimization or 20,8%.
