Abstract

This study aims to find out, 1) Development of video media for learning, 2) The effectiveness of the learning outcomes of students of class VII A in SMP Negeri 3 Manisrenggo Klaten using video media volcano material and disaster in class VII in SMP Negeri 3 Manisrenggo. This research is a research and development (R & D) using Borg and Gall development model design. The processing of video learning media using Wondershare Filmora, Adobe After Effects is obtained by the end product of learning video. The research design used one group pretest-postest design. video product development through material and media expert validation stage shows an average value of 35.50. The final assessment of video products by respondents shows a value of 4.70 and is included in the "GOOD" category. Data analysis technique in this research use T test (t-test). The difference of learners' understanding of volcano material and disaster on pre-test and post-test has increased by an average of 75. The average score of Pre-test 73.4 is increased at post-test 82.6 after using video product . T test results (t-test). pre-test and post-test data showed significant value 0.000 <0,05 so H0 was rejected and H1 accepted so that the use of learning media of volcano material and disaster material in class VII in SMP Negeri 3 Manisrenggo effective.
