Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) implementation of social guidance and counseling to foster self-confidence in SD Negeri Majenang 1 Sragen, (2) to know the obstacles faced in social counseling and guidance services to foster self-confidence in SD Negeri Majenang 1 Sragen, (3) to know the solution of social guidance and counseling services to foster self-confidence in SD Negeri Majenang 1 Sragen. This research is a qualitative research. Subjects in this research are BK teachers, principals and students. Data collection techniques used are interview techniques, observation, documentation. Analytical techniques used consisted of three components of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions or verification. This research begins with the preparation stage, the implementation of research, the preparation of reports and ending with reporting. The result of this research is found there are some public elementary school students of Majenana 1 Sragen who have a sense of lack of confidence. Implementation of social counseling and counseling conducted by BK teachers through planning, approach, implementation and evaluation. Students with a lack of self-confidence are mentored by BK teachers with social counseling and counseling combined with group services. So as to foster students' self-confidence, the development of social souls to their friends and the potential development of students.
