Abstract

A construction industry such as toll road development will certainly have many risk and uncertainties in the implementation process when compared with other industries. In the implementation of the construction of the Ngawi Kertosono toll road, this third package is possible in its implementation also contains risks that must be taken seriously by the contractor because the impact of the risk can hamper the project implementer both in the terms of cost, time, quality and scope of work. To minimize the risk, it is necessary to apply risk management in its implementation. Related to that, the research is done to know the description of risk management on the implementation of toll road construction of Solo – Ngawi – Kertosono Ruas Ngawi – Kertosono Package 3. In this research used descriptive research design qualitative with study method case through survey strategy using questionnaire as research instrument. After the results of the questionnaire obtained then the next stage is to establish the level of importance of risk (importance level) to determine which risks most potentially hinder the implementation process of work. Furthermore, with Risk Breakdown Structure methode is analyzed based on respondent’s opinion to know what action is taken to overcome the dominant risk which certainly have a big influence on the completion of a job. The next step is the allocation of risk ownership, especially the risk in the dominant category, so that each responsible part can exercise the best possible control. The result show that 22 risks (78,59%) of the 28 risks identified in the implementation of the Ngawi Kertosono toll road project were included in the dominant risk category that potentially hindered the work either from time, quality or cost. Risk ownership with the dominant risk in the Ngawi Toll Roaad Road Project Kertosono Package 3 is the largest is owned by the implementing contractor that is equal to 73,91% risk, owner of 21,74 % and consultant supervisor 4,35%.
