Abstract

The emergence of the Full Day School system as an alternative form in the effort to improve education management and is a form of community needs. The problems that arise in this system is the opportunity of social interaction of students with the school environment to be reduced. Therefore in this study raised the problem of "How Full Day School Influence on social interaction of class VIII students in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Simo Boyolali academic year 2016/2017?" With the aim to describe the influence of Full Day School to social interaction of class VIII students in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Simo Boyolali academic year 2016/2017. This research is a qualitative approach. Data obtained from observation, documentation and interview. Data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study show the development of interaction of students SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Simo is evidenced by the forms of interaction shown by students, namely: the interaction between students with individuals, the interaction between students and groups. Then the pattern can have a positive impact from the implementation of Full Day School to social interaction of class VIII in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Simo academic year 2016/2017. The positive impact of the implementation of Full Day School on the social interaction of class VIII in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Simo 2016/2017 academic year is: Students are able to play between students with other students in activities in the school environment, also in joint learning in solving a problem faced by students , students can influence other students and are more tolerant in communicating with other students.
