Abstract

Education in Indonesia lately is considered loaded with contents of knowledge and demands of global currents which override the moral values of culture and character in shaping the character of learners, resulting in smart but immoral students. There is currently a strong indication of the loss of noble values inherent in our nation. Such honesty, politeness, and togetherness are enough of our common concerns. Many people are worried about this moral decline. Various mass media, both printed and electronic media, reported violations committed by the students or teenagers. The offense was a normal misbehavior (skipping school) to special mischief (extramarital sex and so on). But this, when the red yarn is demanded, it boils down to the educational factor. Based on the above background, as for the purpose of this study is to describe the Implementation of Character Education Through Islamic Education Learning In Students of Class XI in SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. This research is field research. That is by using a qualitative descriptive approach. The method used is the method of interviewing, observation, and documentation. These data are related to the Implementation of Character Education through the Learning of Islamic Education at the Grade XI Student at SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Based on the analysis of the authors can be concluded that Basically SMK Muhammadiyah schools have applied the values of character education is 18. But there are 6 values of character education developed and emphasized. This is because in accordance with the situation in SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. The values of character education applied are: a) religious, b), discipline, c) honesty, d) responsibility, e) democratic, f) friendly / communicative. In addition, there are obstacles faced in the planting of character education faced in SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura school is the input of learners from different environments sometimes in school is good and good to be blurred after they are in the environment.
