Transportation in Surakarta City develops in line with the growing number of residents. This can cause problems in the city of Surakarta that is traffic jams. In connection with this Dishubkominfo since March 17, 2016 make changes to the traffic system in several segments. Jl. DR. Radjiman (Simpang Baron - Simpang Jongke), Jl. Pioneer of Independence, and Jl. Agus Salim changed its system from two directions into one direction equipped with contra flow system for public transport. This change of system has an impact on increasing traffic density in other places, one of them is at Simpang Purwosari (Slamet Riyadi Street - Jl KH Agus Salim). This intersection seen from the physical form in the field can be categorized as an intangible intersection because it is not equipped with traffic light settings. However, because there is a roundabout facility (monument) at the intersection it can also be categorized as an intersection with a roundabout. Although the complete parameters of the performance of the two settings of the above intersections are different, but there are similar elements of the parameters in both, namely the degree of saturation and delay. This research needs to be done to know the capacity and performance of the intersection arranged with roundabout or intangible intersection. The data used are primary data (geometric data, environmental data, and traffic flow data) and secondary data (population data of Surakarta city and Surakarta city map). The data were analyzed using the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual 1997 Method to find capacity, degree of saturation, queuing opportunities, and delay. Traffic data is collected on Wednesday 27 April 2016. The number of surveyors required is 15 people for the peak hour research at 06.00 - 08.00 WIB and at 16.00 - 18.00 WIB. Based on result of performance analysis of intersection of intersection and roundabout, the volume of traffic of intersection intersection of Wednesday afternoon is 6812,6 pcu / hour and capacity (C) 7747,57 pcu / hour to get value (DS) 0,88, D) 2481.2 sec / smp, and queuing opportunities (QP) 31.03% - 55.98%. As for the roundabout, the capacity of the briquettes is obtained (C) of the western braid of 6570.12 pcu / hr and the volume of traffic flow is 2700.30 pcu / hour hence obtained (DS) 0.41, delay roundabout (DR) 5.44 sec / and queuing opportunities (QP) 3.36% - 9.11%. This indicates that for now purwosari intersection with a roundabout setting has been eligible compared to the settings of intersection intersection, because according to MKJI 1997 criteria of intersection planning will be eligible if the (DS) is smaller than the applicable provisions, the value of the provisions applicable to roundabout DS <0 ,75 and the unsung signal DS <0.85.
