Abstract

Baby massage is a touch to the baby and provides a light massage that provides a sense of security, comfort. Baby massage can be done by the mother, father or family member, is the best massage, proven to produce profitable physiological changes, can meet the needs of love given by his family. The number of mothers massage their babies to a baby massage midwife due to illness such as fever, constant crying or bone abnormalities.. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors - factors cause the mother massage baby to a midwife in the Village Karang Tengah District Sragen. This research is a quantitative research and this type of research is descriptive analytic research. Population taken in this research is mother who have baby 0 - 12 month old who massaged baby to dukun baby in Sub-district of Karang Tengah District Sragen. The sample in this research is 69 respondents. Data analysis to be used in this research is descriptive analysis. The result of the research shows that the mother causes the baby to be based on the highest percentage, namely the factors of trust and culture (44.14%), motivation factor (24.33%), economic factor (18.49%), positive impact factor (17.18%) , while the factors that cause the mother to massage the infant to the lowest dukun infant is the distance or location factor (15.57%) Keyword : baby massaging, traditional birth attendants
