Abstract

The highest capacity economic by human to buying vehicles to be impacted on the capacitance of parking area of a building. The density of vehicles in operation and the need for parking prompted agencies to manage the parking area more efficienty. See the lack of maximum performance of manual power in giving direction when the vehicle is parked then made a tool in the form of design of parking capacity control prototype with the characteristics of two sensors that aims to find out which one the best to use. The tool uses PLC (Programmable Logic Control) as the main control to adjust the incoming and outgoing speed of vehicle in building according to the available capacity. The parking area capacity also uses infrared sensors as a vehicle to open and ultrasonic sensor as exit detector. In addition the tool uses servo motors as opening and closing the parking door latch. While to display the data of the capacity of own vehicle using digital display that connected with both sensors and PLC. Methods used in the manufacture of prototypes, namely the design of hardware and software design. After doing some testing with parameter of distance between 1-10 cm got result that infrared sensor performance better than ultrasonik sensor because according to work principle and never happened eror.
