Abstract

This research is about scenario impact of exposure and mitigation by flood inundation disaster in DKI Jakarta Province. The purpose of this research are: (1) analyze population estimation having the highest impact on flood hazard class of multispectral Citra Landsat 8 processing in DKI Jakarta; (2) analyze the estimation of exposure, the sensitivity of the vulnerable aged population, and the minimum basic needs required during disaster management; (3) to know the socialization of the mitigation of the population; and (4) analyze mitigation efforts for handling flooding. The method used in this research is secondary data analysis and survey. The survey technique used is purposive random sampling for sampling of population response on mitigation socialization with interview technique. The results showed that: estimated population affected in high, medium, and low, successive class were 5,810,000 people, 196,000 people, and 10 people. High population exposure in high class due to the concentration of population activity in flood prone areas; estimation of the exposure of the population that need evacuation as much as 6.006.000 people are in the class rather potential prone to be very vulnerable to exposure to puddles. Estimated sensitivity of population exposed to floods in Jakarta as many as 2,047,713 inhabitants, consisting of 1,579,321 inhabitants of the category of children and 468,392 elderly people. The minimum priority needs estimate is the need for clean water, at least as much as 402,336,407 liters to meet the needs of 6.006.000 inhabitant; socialization of population mitigation in disaster management has various actions influenced by the understanding of population and the carrying capacity of mitigation; analysis of mitigation efforts is used to increase alertness and awareness in the face of flooding in well-being done in the short term, medium term, and long term.
