Abstract

Karanganyar regency currently has 56 garbage dump spread at 7 subdistricts, but it still less effective as many garbage dump exceed the capacity. This reserch discusses about the effort of location evaluation and garbage dump allocation in Karanganyar regency with the source unit from the region of subdistrict. The effort utilizes formulating the main problem with mix integer linear programming using approximation Set Covering Problem method. Set Covering Problem method aims to determine minimum number and the location of facility, that in order to meet the demand of one minimum facility. This research applies 2 models, those are 8 hours Tc and 20 minutes Tc. The results divided into 2 models, for first model has 8 garbage dumps and the second model has 17 garbage dumps with the same source unit amounts 49 places in Karanganyar regency.
