Abstract

Industrial Engineering Reading Room (RBTI) is a library located at the level of majors owned by the UMS industrial engineering department. There are various collections in it, among others, books, practical work reports, final tasks, and journals. There is no database that is structured makes it difficult for users to find out the existing collection inside. The design of information systems is possible because it will accommodate librarians in managing the library and provide services for library members and facilitate visitors in searching for a collection that cool. The purpose of making information systems, among others: preparing the design of database systems industrial engineering reading room, create a website design system reading industrial engineering department and implement the design of the system of the reading room of Department of Industrial Engineering into the application system using PHP and MySQL programming language. Creation of the system starts from identifying the needs of the system, among other things creating context diagram, data flow diagram and entity relationship diagram. After that is the design of the system of database design and form and then followed by the design of website applications. The results of making the website reading room there are several displays and menus that can be used both visitors and officers of the reading room such as Home Page news that contains the profile menu, collection, info, news, and Slidebar. While on the menu information system reading room there are menu data officers, member data, book collection data, practical work report data, final report data, report data, print barcode and log out.
