Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the development of learning for leaflet teaching materials in extracurricular class of earthquake disaster material and to know the criteria used for development by using teaching material in extracurricular class of earthquake disaster material in the form of leaflet. This research is a research and development (R&D) with Dick and Carey development model with the following steps: (1) Identification of goals, (2) Doing anailisis intruksional, (3) Identify the initial behavior and characteristics of students, (4) Formulating performance goals, (5) Development of benchmark reference tests, (6) Development of teaching strategies, (7) Development or choosing teaching, (8) Designing and conducting formative evaluation, (9) Teaching Revisions, (10) Designing and executing summative evaluation . The research product is a leaflet titled "Learning Earthquake and Mitigation". The results showed that leaflets developed according to expert material with a score of 87.03% including the category of "Very good", assessment of media experts with a score of 79.62% including the category "Good". The effectiveness of the use of leaflet teaching materials when viewed from the results of pretest and post test. The pretest result of the average score is 6.03 and the post test average is 8.88. The increment of pretest and post test is about 2.85.
