Abstract

The purpose of this study To determine the elements present in the specimen by means of x-ray testing. And to find out how strong the specimens are made with tear and tear testing process. With variation Composition of fibers fibers 10 phr, 20 phr, 30 phr. This research used latex and powdered as a mixture material. The process begins with the washing, soaking and drying of the fibers and then the preparation of the powder, then mix the latex with the powder of the fibers in the mixing container and stir until mixed evenly and then pour into the mold for the vulcanization process, after which make the specimen for testing, then the specimen is tested According to x-ray testing standards by XRF method, tear testing and tensile testing. In the X-Ray ray test, we found three elements of metal content (Zn, Fe and Ti). The highest content of Zn metal was found in fiber powder with 10 phr content of 3.348%, for the highest Fe content in fibers with 20 phr content of 0.729% , And the highest Ti metal content in fibers fibers with content 30 phrsebesar 0.342%. On tensile test result that has been done can be concluded that highest tensile stress is obtained on the compound with the content of 10 phr fibers powder with a tensile value of 2.93 N / mm2, While the tear test that has been done can be concluded that high voltage obtained at compound with content 10phr fiber powder with a voltage value of 4.79 N / mm2.
