Abstract
The demand of working in fulfilling the necessities of life is also done by children called child labor. Child laborers are those aged 15-17 in bad and dangerous jobs and have a negative impact on them. Pekalongan district which is famous for garment industry including convection house, convection house takes underage workers surround who are dropout school. Convection house is a group communication where there is influence of convection house owner leadership to commitment and work productivity of underage worker. Leadership is an attempt to influence many people through communication with instructions and orders to achieve goals. Commitment as a person's belief in fostering relationships with others is an important thing that mutually beneficial to each other. Productivity is a comparison between the results achieved with the role of employees in producing a goods or services unity of time unity. The method used in this research was quantitative method and sampling technique used purposive sampling as many as 30 workers under the age of convection house in Pegaden Tengah village. The result of this study showed that leadership had a positive effect on work commitment of underage workers at conventional home village of Pegaden Tengah and it meant that the higher the leadership, the work commitment will increase. Leadership positively affected the labor productivity of underage workers at conventional home village of Pegaden Tengah which meant the higher the leadership used, the productivity will increase.
