Abstract

This research is aimed to improve science learning interest through implementation of simulation method to 4th grade students of SDN 01 Karanganyar in the academic year of 2016/2017. The subjects of this research were teacher and students of 4th grade in SDN 01 Karanganyar who consisted 31 students. It was classroom action research. It was done in SDN 01 Karanganyar. Data collecting techniques were observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques used critical analysis and comparative analysis. The results showed that the improvement of science learning interest through simulation method to 4th grade students f SDN 01 Karanganyar in the academic year of 2016/2017 as follow: in cycle 1, during teaching learning process there were 5 students asking (12,09 %), 7 students paying attention (16,94 %), 8 students doing exercise (19,35 %), 5 students enthusiastic (12,09%) and 6 students working in group (14,52 %). In cycle 2 there were improvements as follow: 7 students asking (16,94 %), 10 students paying attention (24,19 %), 8 students doing exercise (19,35 %), 4 students enthusiastic (9,68 %) and 2 students working in group (4,84 %). From the results, it could be concluded that simulation method could improve science learning interest to 4th grade students of SDN 01 Karanganyar.
