Abstract

This study aims to describe the understanding of traditional market traders against the Regional Regulation of Surakarta City No. 1 of 2010 on Management and Protection of Traditional Markets (Case study on Sidodadi Market Karangasem Village, Laweyan Sub-district Surakarta City 2017). The Understanding of Regional Regulation of Surakarta City Number 1 Year 2010 is detailed as follows: (1) Understanding Clause 14, (2) Clause 24, (3) Clause 32, (4) Clause 43, (4) Clause 43, and (5) Clause 47 Regional Regulation of Surakarta City No. 1 of 2010. This research uses qualitative approach, data collection with observation, documentation and interview. Research data collected through informant or resource, place and event of research. The understanding of Sidodadi market traders against Regional Regulation of Surakarta City No. 1 of 2010 on Management and Protection of Traditional Market is known through understanding indicators that are able to explain, able to describe, able to interpret, able to translate, and able to implement Regional Regulation of Surakarta City No. 1 of 2010. The results of this study show that Sidodadi market traders do not understand the Regional Regulation of Surakarta City No. 1 of 2010 because it is proven that Sidodadi market traders are unable to explain, unable to describe, unable to interpret, unable to translate, and unable to implement Regional Regulation of Surakarta City No. 1 of 2010.
