Abstract
Islamic cooperation has two background of the establishment and the activities are almost the same strength, namely as micro finance and as a financial institution of sharia. View of the the principles that exist in the cooperative, then there is nothing that contradicts with islamic sharia. Although the cooperative is not derived from islam, but this financial institution is in accordance with the islamic values. In the transactions of islamic cooperatives, there are one of the murabahah contract which is a sale and purchase agreement on certain goods, where the seller mentions selling price consists of the price of staple goods and certain profit levels over the goods and where the selling price is approved by the buyer. The legal use of islamic cooperation namely Undang-Undang No. 25 Tahun 1992 about cooperatives and the National Sharia council (MUI). In the murabahah contruct, there is the addition of contract tadabul almal (the money for thanking), the addition of the contract in islamic law is forbidden because of the contract (agreement) which mentioned in the beginning is the riba.
