Abstract

Boyolali-Kartasura road is a road with a high accident potential, one of the causes is the condition of road that suffered damage at some point. According to the Ministry of Public Works (2007), road damage is influenced by 4 main things, namely construction materials, traffic, climate and water. One of the dominant causes of road damage is the presence of water inundating the road during rain. In relation to the exposure, it is necessary to have an assessment so that the cause of road damage can be solved quickly and accurately, thus providing comfort for road users and high accident intensity can be suppressed. Research begins by determining the location, then required the permission of the relevant agencies and preparation tools. The data needed in this research are primary data (road damage data & drainage quality data) obtained by direct survey and secondary data (rainfall data & road geometric data) obtained from related institution. After obtaining the necessary data, data analysis for road damage by PCI method and drainage quality analysis was performed. Data analysis was obtained with the help of Microsoft Excell 2007. Based on the results of the analysis both obtained the results to determine the relationship of drainage quality to road damage on road segments reviewed with accompanying supporting data(photo survey & presentation of the results of the analysis in the graph), so it can be taken some suggestions that can be used as a reference by the relevant agencies for handling road damage due to drainage quickly, precisely and efficiently. Road conditions Boyolali-Kartasura ro ad damage due to poor drainage quality. Visually it can be seen from the condition of the road body that flooded the runoff water during rain because the available drainage can not accommodate maximum runoff. That's because the drainage conditions are filled with garbage and weeds that grow around it. Based on the result of road damage analysis with PCI method on 7 + 600 - km 7 + 700 km road has an appraisal number ranging from 48 - 54 (poor), with the result of the average overflow discharge analysis of 0.030527 m3 / dt. The presentation of the analysis through the graph of PCI value relationship with water runoff also shows the greater the discharge debit the smaller the pavement condition value. In the graph also presented a critical value of damage that shows the value of 89.5 with a maximum outflow rate of 0.030000 m3 / dt, so that if the value of damage and the value of the overflow debit under the critical value it can be said that the road is damaged by road drainage .
