Abstract

The readiness of Biology Science teachers in implementing Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) is the willingness of Junior High School teachers in Pracimantoro, Eromoko, and Giritontro Subdistricts, Wonogiri Regency to implement Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) before implementation or start . To be able to implement KTSP well, a teacher must know everything about KTSP concept, knowing good perception to KTSP, and able to make syllabus and appraisal system. Therefore, this study aims to determine the readiness of Biology teachers of SMP Negeri and Swasta in South Wonogiri District in implementing Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP). The population in this study are teachers of Biology of State and Private Junior High School in Wonogiri regency in the south. While samplingnya amounted to 32 teachers of Science Biology from 12 SMP Negeri and Private in Wonogiri Regency. The method used in data collection is documentation method, questionnaire method and test method. Data is analyzed descriptively percentage. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of knowledge of teachers about the concept of KTSP 68.13% with high category and the criteria of preparedness level is ready to implement KTSP, teachers' perceptions of KTSP are quite ready ie 85.13%, and the ability of teachers in making syllabus and assessment system for questionnaire equal to 74,64% with ready category, for open question (description) equal to 69,53% with ready category and for syllabus making equal to 84,17% with very good category and readiness level criterion is very ready. Thus, it can be stated that teachers of Biology of State and Private Junior High Schools in Wonogiri Regency in the south are ready to implement Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP).
