Abstract
The Purpose of this research consist of three part, (1) to describe the structure that construct the novel of Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki, (2) to describe the inner conflict of the main character in the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki with the literature of psychological approach, (3) to describe the implementation of the result in this research for the literature study in Senior High School. This study uses descriptive qualitative. The technique of collecting data by using library techniques, gathering, take a not and interviewie. The data validity was using data triangulation and triangulation of theory. Technique of dataanalysis is by using semiotic reading. This study produced three discussion. 1) the result of structural analysis novel Genduk such as (1) theme (2) figure, Genduk is the main character such as Yung, Lik Ngadun, Kaji Bawon, Kaduk, Sapto, Pak Lurah Cokro, Pak Yai dan Bah Djan, (3) . The plot of the story is chronological plot and (4) The settings of novel are setting of place, setting of time, setting of social. 2) The inner conflict of genduk consist of approach-approach conflict, approach-avoidance conflict, avoidance-avoidanceb conflict. (1) approach-approach conflict by Genduk with herself while fighting with the shadow of her father. (2) approach-avoidance conflict was happened Genduk has the relationship with Sapto, but was prohibited by her mother. (3) avoidance-avoidanceb conflict was happened when Genduk with Kaduk in Tuksari’s tears. 3) The result of study is implemented on high school literature learning through 2013 curriculum based on (KD) 3.1 Comprehend the structure and principle the text of historical story, news, advertisement, editorial/opinion, and novel either oral or written.
