Abstract
This study has two purpose. (1) Describes the principle of the language politeness found in Ini talkshow at net tv. (2) Implies the principle of language politeness found in ini talk show at net tv used as discussion text materials for class IX. The types of this study was qualitative research. The data collecting in this study used two techniques, namely: scrutinized techniques and note techniques. The technique of the analysis data in this syudy used extralingual equivalent they were: basic technique and advance technique. The result of this study found three points: (1) The existance of the arrangement of the six maxims on the principle of the politeness were: maxim of generosity, maxim of wisdom, maxim of simplicity, maxim of conspiracy, maxim of sympathy. (2) The violation of the five maxims on the principle of the politeness, namely: maxim of wisdom, maxim of generosyti, maxim of simplicity, maxim of conspiracy and maxim of sympathy. (3) The benefits of this study as discussion material for teaching calss IX.
