Abstract

Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is a long road pavement demolition material This material consists of aggregate and asphalt that has undergone aging. The second component of this waste material can be utilized as a material quality roads. The research method that makes SMA mix with RAP variation of 0%,50%, 100% of the total coarse aggregate, the levels of rice bran in use 6%, 7%, 8%. The total weight of the test object is 1200 grams and natural cellulose fibers in use rice bran 7%. Coarse aggregate fraction as much as 70%, fine aggregate 19.5%, and 10.5% filler. Testing marshall total of 18 test specimens. Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) obtained a value of 6.5%. The test results on the test object with increased levels of RAP value VFWA the higher it happens because the bitumen is mixed with aggregate, higher levels of RAP VMA value further down the condition because the asphalt long RAP melts and fills a gap in the mix, and the higher levels of RAP value VIM also fell it caused at the time of compaction will fill existing gaps, so as to minimize gaps that occur, while increased levels of RAP, the values to density tends to be high this is because the content of the asphalt attached to the RAP melt and fill the voids in the aggregate, higher levels of RAP value stability tends to fall it may be an error in the reading at the time of Marshal test, the higher the levels of RAP value Flow growing up as well and the higher levels of Bran, the value MQ lower because there may be errors when reading Marshal test when pratikum or while in laboratory. RAP optimum levels that can be used is 70% of the total coarse aggregate of the total mix, with higher levels of rice bran 7% of the total mixture.
