Abstract
Short story is printed mass media in the form of book as well as a literary work of narrative prose presented in an unforgettable event, brief, short, and story idea is centralized on one character and can be read in one sitting. Children get their early education not only by their parents but also from books. Books can affect their moral and character, one of these books is short story with or without pictures. Dar Mizan publishes book which was written by children and is addressed to children as readers. This book is called “Kecil-kecil Punya Karya”. Essentially, short story which read by children ought to be providing legal protection against the rights of children as short story consumers, and the contents of the short story must follow The Journalist's Code of Ethics. This is based on Act No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection and Act No. 35 of 2014 on Amendment of Act Number 23 of 2002 regarding Child Protection.
