Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) describe the character of discipline and responsibility on The Merry Riana Movie: A Million Dollar Dream, 2) describe the content of discipline and responsibility characters on the 2nd Core Competencies of Pancasila and Civic Education curriculum 2013 of Senior High School, 3) describe the linkage of The Merry Riana Movie: A Million Dollar Dream with 2nd Core Competencies of Pancasila and Civic Education curriculum 2013 of Senior High School for Pancasila and Civic Education learning media. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is The Merry Riana Movie: A Million Dollar Dream. The object of research is the character of discipline and responsibility. Data collection techniques in this research using the method of documentation, observation and literature study. The validity test of data by triangulation of data sources and data collection techniques. Data analysis applies interactive model data analysis technique through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing or verification. The results of this research show that 1) the character of discipline and responsibility is in The Merry Riana Movie: A Million Dollar Dream. Proven there are three indicators indicating the character of discipline and nine indicators that indicate the character of responsibility. 2) The character of discipline and responsibility contained in the 2nd Core Competencies into of Pancasila and Civic Education curriculum 2013 of Senior High School are: "2. Realizing and practicing honest, discipline, responsibility, caring (polite, cooperative, tolerant, peaceful) behavior, courteous, responsive and proactive and showing attitude as part of the solution to problems in interacting effectively with the social and natural environment and in placing Self as a reflection of the nation in the association of the world". 3) The linkage between The Merry Riana Movie: A Million Dollar Dream with the 2nd Core Competencies of Pancasila and Civic Education curriculum 2013 of Senior High School lies in two character values that is discipline and responsibility. So, The Merry Riana Movie: A Million Dollar Dream can be a Pancasila and Civic Eduacation learning media in teaching the character of discipline and responsibility.
