Abstract

Introduction: Consumer satisfaction determined by evaluation of the differences between first expectation (other comparison standard) and of accepted service or after the usage of product. One of the conceptor of satisfaction measurement, uses SERVQUAL method (service quality) which compared between acceptable services by consumer with consumer perceptions of accepted services. This method uses 5 dimension, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. Kasih Ibu Hospital Surakarta perform some methods to increase the quality of nutritions service. Puropose: to determine the relation between perception and expectition of food service food servi and inpatients satisfaction in Hopsital of Kasih Ibu Surakarta. Research Method: This was cross-sectional study. Type of this research was observational non experimental. Data were taken by questioner and interviewing toward 40 respondents. Data consists of perception measurement, patients expectation about food quality service and patients satisfaction based on reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. The collected data were tested by parametric rank spearman. Result: research shows that patients perception about food quality service at Kasih Ibu Hospital Surakarta was in good category which was 15 pateints (37.5%), Expectation of patients about food quality service at Kasih Ibu Hospital Surakarta was in appropriate category which was 17 patient (42.5%), category of patients satisfaction about food quality service Kasih Ibu Hospital Surakarta was not satisfied which was 21 patient (52.5%). Conclusion: There was correlation between perception and expectation of food service quality and patients satisfaction at Kasih Ibu Hospital Surakarta
